EPA Honors MHE

The Master Home Environmentalist © program was recognized in 2005 with a Children's Environmental Health Excellence Award! This prestigious honor is given out annually by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to programs and organizations that demonstrate effectiveness, innovation, and longevity in protecting children from environmental health risks.
On April 21, 2005 in Washington D.C. Aileen Gagney, the Asthma and Environmental Health Program Manager and MHE coordinator, will accept the award on behalf of the American Lung Association in Washington, the MHE trainers and volunteers. Over the past few years Aileen has been a driving force in improving and expanding the program from Washington State to Washington D.C.
