Washington State Tuberculosis Advisory Council (WSTAC)

The Washington State Tuberculosis Advisory Council (WSTBAC) is made up of a representative group of public health professionals and concerned citizens in Washington State formed to address issues related to tuberculosis.
Vision: A STATE FREE OF TUBERCULOSIS
Mission Statement:
- Membership: WSTAC will be a representative group of health care professionals and community leaders most affected by tuberculosis in Washington State.
- Charter: to build a broad understanding of tuberculosis within the community with a specific goal to eliminate tuberculosis in this state.
- Activities:
- Solicit input from representative health care professionals and leaders of community organizations representing those most affected by tuberculosis including, but not limited to, HIV, homeless, and immigrant groups.
- Make recommendations to local and state legislative bodies and the state public health department.
- Advocate maintaining or increasing levels of funding to support its endeavor to eliminate tuberculosis from the state.
